Harvest tips for redcurrant stored in modules

Redcurrant stored in CA modules must be harvested by hand; machine harvesting is too damaging to the redcurrants, making them unsuitable for storage in modules. It may be useful to sensitize pickers to the importance of hand harvesting without marking the fruit. The berries should be left attached to their stem.
The indicator to be followed to determine the harvest date is the red coloration.
Do not store wet or moldy berries.

Storage of redcurrant in modules

A quick cooling after harvest is recommended to avoid dehydration and to ensure a better storage.
